SAINTE-ANNE-DE-BELLEVUE – A woman who survived a grisly head-on collision is sounding the alarm over what she says is a dangerous overpass in Montreal’s West Island.
There were no fatalities, but she did get a concussion.
The overpass crosses Highway 40 and leads to Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue’s central area, feeding des Anciens-Combattants Boulevard.
The town completed the overpass last fall, and many residents said it was a long time coming.

However, Young argues the signage isn’t clear enough.
She insists it isn’t properly indicated where drivers are supposed to go to get off Highway 40.
Young said her husband also had a near-miss in the exact same place this week.
Town officials said the issue is a provincial responsibility, but money has been budgeted to fix the problem by the summer.
Quebec’s transportation ministry also said it is looking into the problem.
