LAVAL – Police have found human remains at a construction site near Highway 440 in Laval, and said they may be that of a missing 56-year-old woman.
The bones were found around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday by an employee surveying a work site near a McDonald’s restaurant off Highway 440 and between Highway 13 and Curé-Labelle Boulevard.

Const. Evelyne Boudreau with the Laval police service told Global News it’s believed the bones are linked to a 2014 missing person’s case.
“Elements at the scene led us to believe that the bones are linked to that disappearance,” Boudreau said Wednesday night.

However, police said they don’t suspect any criminal activity in the case.
Forensic teams will compare the dental records of the missing woman to those of the remains found at the scene in order to confirm the identity.
