Police canvassing for information in the homicide of Joseph Cameron

Investigators with the homicide unit will be canvassing in two separate areas of Dartmouth on Friday, looking to speak with anyone who may have information about the recent homicide of 20-year-old Joseph Cameron.

Police were called to the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road shortly before 5:30 a.m. on March 29 after a report of shots fired. When they arrived on scene, officers located Cameron’s body on the sidewalk.

So far, no arrests have been made in the case.

Police say they will be handing out flyers between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the area of Kennedy and Roleika Drives.

They will also be present in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Investigators will be on scene and available to speak with anyone who may have information about the fatal shooting.
