‘N’ driver ticketed for going almost 100 km/h over speed limit in Pitt Meadows

A ‘novice’ driver received a ticket and had their car impounded for seven days after being caught going almost 100 km/h over the speed limit in Pitt Meadows.

The ‘N’ driver was caught on Sunday evening on a rural road where the posted speed limit is 60 km/h.

Ridge Meadows RCMP say the driver also received a $483 ticket for excessive speeding.

On May 9, a driver with only a Learner’s License or ‘L’ got caught speeding for the second time, with their mom in the car, for going 130 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. On May 3 in Mission, a ‘L’ driver was also ticketed for driving 147 km/h in an 80 km/h zone near Highway 7 and Sylvester Road.
