It’s no secret that distracted driving is a problem on our highways and the BC government hopes that hitting drivers in the pocketbook might put a stop to it. The new fines for distracted driving kicked in today — tripling the amount for a first offence and possible licence suspensions for a second offence. But as Kelly Hayes reports, some drivers don’t seem to be distracted by the new fines.
