Semi tipped on side near North Battleford, Sask. on Highway 16

Traffic had to be rerouted while a tow truck tipped a semi back upright on Highway 16 around 10 kilometres east of North Battleford, Sask.

RCMP said the westbound semi trailer somehow tipped on its side Sunday morning.

The driver was taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries is unknown.

A passenger was assessed at the scene by paramedics.

The local fire department cleaned up oil and fuel spills.

North Battleford RCMP said no other vehicles were involved in the crash and the cause is under investigation.
