The Craven Country Jamboree kicked off on Thursday with RCMP charging three people with impaired driving.
“Just to emphasize, we have traffic services and members in Craven and members in Lumsden, so an excess of probably 90 members in and around working throughout the course of the weekend,” RCMP Insp. Ted Munro said.
“So these stats are not just based on Craven, they are based on the roadways etc.”

RCMP said officers also laid one charge for assault with a weapon, three counts of mischief to property and four counts of disturbing the peace. Seven prisoners were held in custody.
Police also responded to three traffic collisions and issued five roadside suspensions. Seventy-three traffic tickets were handed out.
The festival runs from July 14-17.
