The province’s Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) is investigating after a man crashed his motorcycle while allegedly trying to evade police in Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax police were attempting to pull the man over Saturday evening as he turned off Highway 111 on to Braemar Drive.

The motorcyclist took off and lost control of his bike before crashing.

The 20-year-old driver was transported to Dartmouth General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He faces a charge of driving while disqualified and will appear in court at a later date.
