Man robbed, assaulted with a stick on Lacewood Drive in Halifax

Halifax Regional Police say a 21-year-old man was assaulted with and robbed on Lacewood Drive in Halifax on Sunday afternoon.

At around 1 p.m. two men approached the victim and attacked him with a stick. They then fled the scene on foot with a small quantity of cash.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Police say one suspect is believed to be a white male in his early 20s and was wearing a blue hoodie, black shorts and a ball cap at the time of the incident.

The second suspect is a described as a white male in his early 50s with short cropped hair and eye glasses, standing at approximately 5’8″. He was wearing blue shorts and a black t-shirt at the time of the incident.

Police say at this point it’s unclear whether the victim and suspects are known to each other. The incident is still under investigation.
