Woman in her 50s airlifted to hospital after motorcycle and SUV collide in southern Alberta

Emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash between a motorcycle and SUV on Highway 22 at 274 West, in the Municipal District of Foothills at around 12 p.m. Saturday.

EMS said a woman in her fifties who was driving the motorcycle was injured and flown by STARS Air Ambulance to the Foothills Medical Centre.

The women suffered multiple serious musculoskeletal injuries, but was considered in non life-threatening condition.

No other injuries were reported.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
