The man accused of killing nine-month-old Austin Wright appeared in court Monday, when a Calgary prosecutor was assigned to the case.
Tyler Hogan, 40, last appeared in Lethbridge court Aug. 3 by closed-circuit television (CCTV), when his lawyer was told the case will require an out-of-town prosecutor and judge.

Hogan is charged with second-degree murder and was arrested on July 27 in relation to the death of Austin, who police said was found in cardiac arrest in a Lethbridge home last April. The young boy was then transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hogan’s next court appearance is set for Aug. 22.
