A hit and run in Big River, Sask., has left a boy dead.
Police say the five-year-old boy was riding his bike on Highway 55 in the northern Saskatchewan community on Tuesday evening when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver then fled the scene.
The boy was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. His name has not been released.
Big River RCMP located the vehicle at a business in the community.

A man and a woman were taken into custody. No charges have been laid.
Big River RCMP, along with a collision reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
