Alberta RCMP are searching for information related to the vandalism of a welcome sign at a national historic site.
Fort Macleod RCMP said someone shot holes into the Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump sign sometime between July 29 and Aug. 3. RCMP said the shooter made holes for eyes in the buffaloes’ heads.
The sign, valued at $200,000, is located at a rural location west of Fort Macleod that’s a major tourist attraction in the province.
RCMP said the site manager noticed upon his return to work after the long weekend.
