Buildings damaged by fire near Boston Bar

On Sunday night, crews were able to quickly contain a wildfire burning just across the Fraser River from Boston Bar.

The fire started at a CP Rail yard in North Bend around 7 p.m.

Witnesses say it was sparked shortly after lightning was spotted in the area.

The blaze did burn down one building.

Officials says it also caused propane and oil tanks to explode, damaging an old church.

No injuries were reported.
