Spectators at the Red Bull Joyride bike competition in western Canada were given a real treat on Sunday when Canada’s Brett Rheeder gave an almost flawless performance.

Rheeder, who had never won the classic slopestyle event before, put together a string of audacious moves over the jumps, ramps and drops of the track on the Whistler’s Blackcomb resort.

He won with a score of 93. Thomas Genon of Belgium came second with 91.20 and Max Fredriksson of Sweden scored 89.80, making him third place.
