Fedoruk was the chief medical physicist for the Saskatchewan Cancer Foundation.
She was one of four scientists to develop one of the first nuclear scanning machines and the cobalt 60 therapy unit in 1951.
Wall said it’s only fitting that Fedoruk is honoured because of her legacy.
A state funeral, which all members of the public may attend, will take place Friday at 2 p.m. at Teacher’s Credit Union Place.
