Five suspects have been arrested and police are searching for five others after a licensed medical marijuana grower was robbed in Port Colborne, Ont.
Niagara Regional Police responded to an address on Pinecrest Road, just before 4 a.m. Monday, and discovered the legal grow operation had been burglarized. No details have been released on the amount of marijuana stolen.
Police, K-9 and Emergency Task Unit officers responded to the scene with the help of Ontario Provincial Police and the Erie County Sherriff’s Department helicopter.

Four suspects were arrested in the search and a fifth suspect was arrested Monday afternoon.
Police said five additional suspects are still outstanding and may still be in the area of eastern Port Colborne.

Residents in the area are asked to remain vigilant and report any suspicious people or unsecured properties to police immediately.

Police are also telling the public not to try to apprehend any suspicious people, as they may be in possession of a weapon.
