While the rest of Canada has its pumpkin pies, people in Windsor, Nova Scotia, have a giant pumpkin paddle.
The 18th annual race known as the World’s Largest Pumpkin Regatta was held Sunday. Organizers said 50 entrants signed up to paddle across Lake Pesaquid.

Racers sit in massive hollowed out pumpkins and paddle across using canoe or kayak paddles.
People of all ages took part in the race. And like previous years many were dressed up in early Halloween costumes. Also like most years, some racers ended up taking an unexpected dip while they tried to get across the lake.
