Toronto man charged after 6 reported cases of prowler peering into homes downtown

A 49-year-old Toronto man faces 17 charges after police said numerous women reported a prowler peering into their homes in the city’s downtown core.

Toronto police launched an investigation into six separate cases of someone lurking outside the homes of women in the Dundas Street West and McCaul Street area.

Jeffrey Fraser, 49, was arrested Thursday and charged with five counts of prowling by night, five counts of voyeurism, six counts of failing to comply with recognizance and one count of criminal harassment.

He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court Monday and police have released his photo out of concern there may be more alleged victims.
