Fans reminded of traffic plan for final Riders game at old Mosaic Stadium

Police are reminding motorists and other fans about the traffic plan for the last Saskatchewan Roughriders game being played at the old Mosaic Stadium on Oct. 29. File / Global News

On Friday, Regina police reminded motorists and other fans about the traffic plan for the last Saskatchewan Roughriders game being played at the old Mosaic Stadium this weekend.

No vehicles will be allowed in the 1500 and 1600 blocks of Retallack Street except for local residents. There will also be road closures in the 1500 block of Retallack Street and Dewdney Avenue, 9th Avenue and Retallack Street and 10th Avenue and Retallack Street.

The closures will restrict westbound vehicle traffic on 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue at Retallack Street.

Motorists will not be able to park in the “No Parking” zone on 9th Avenue, east of the of the stadium. Any vehicles in the zones will be towed from the area.
Police are reminding fans that Regina Transit offers a free Football Express bus, which will pickup people at four locations, including the Normanview Shopping Centre, the Northgate Shopping Centre, Southland Mall and Victoria Square Mall.

Drivers are also being reminded that there will be a lot of pedestrians in the area and to be patient.

Gates for Mosaic Stadium open at 3:30 p.m. and kick-off starts at 5 p.m. with the Saskatchewan Roughriders taking on the B.C. Lions.
