Nova Scotia’s Justice Department says a man who was found unresponsive in his cell at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility has died.
The department says the 38-year-old man was found unresponsive last Wednesday.

He was transported to Dartmouth General Hospital, but died on Monday.
The province says Halifax Regional Police are investigating and the Justice Department will conduct an internal investigation.

It says the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
