The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is ordering a recall warning for Dr. Praeger’s Organic Kale & Quinoa Veggie Burgers over undeclared egg in the product.
The recall was issued on Nov. 10 after it was discovered that egg was in the burgers and was not listed on the label.
The CFIA urges anyone with an allergy to egg to not consume the product.

The veggie burgers are sold through Costco Wholesale and were distributed to New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario and Quebec.
The CFIA is advising the packages with the following codes and UPC numbers be thrown out or returned to the store:

– 1.2 kg packages (UPC 0 80868 53138 0) with the codes 17 AU (August) 01 G16AB or 17 AU (August) 15 G16BF

The recall of the burgers was triggered by a recall from another country and the CFIA are conducting a safety investigation which may lead to other warnings and products being recalled.
So far, there has been one reported allergic reaction to the product.
