WINNIPEG — Manitobans will be shelling out more for vehicle insurance next year.
The Public Utilities Board has given the green light for Manitoba Public Insurance to increase Autopac rates.

MPI plans to hike rates by 3.7 per cent in March, which is less than the 4.3 per cent MPI wanted.
That works out to about $33 more for vehicles and $17 more for motorcycles.
MPI says the hike is necessary because investments did poorly.
The PUB also noted concerns with how much the Crown Corporation is spending on information technology initiatives and is asking MPI to file a five year plan related to its IT projects.
