HAMILTON – Police have released the name of a Hamilton man killed in the city’s sixth homicide this year.
Police say 27-year-old Shaun McCann died after being stabbed in the neck Thursday afternoon (at Blake Street and Maplewood Avenue).

Investigators say they have recovered a knife believed to be the murder weapon.
McCann later died in hospital and police determined that he’d been involved in an altercation with another person in a home.
Steven Corbett, 35, of Hamilton, has been arrested charged with second-degree murder.
Police say they continue to look for witnesses.
