A Hamilton man was killed in this week’s 30-vehicle pileup and chemical spill on the 401 near Kingston.

OPP have identified him as 45-year-old Ian Melville.

The OPP say Melville’s truck was carrying a toxic chemical that leaked from the rig, causing the highway’s lengthy closure while crews worked to clean up the spill.
