Serious stabbing at Winnipeg’s St. John’s High School: Police

WINNIPEG — Multiple police units responded to St. John’s High School Thursday afternoon after a student was stabbed.

A Winnipeg School Division spokesperson confirmed the school was put into hold and secure for roughly an hour at 1:45 p.m. after an assault in the school’s parking lot.

The school division said a clinical support team will be provided but because Friday is an inservice day it won’t be available to students until Monday.

Police said the male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. His current condition is unknown.
