Hamilton Bulldogs beat Frontenacs, force game 7 in Kingston

The Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Kingston Frontenacs, 5-2 at FirstOntario Centre, forcing game 7 in the OHL Eastern Conference quarterfinal.

The Bulldogs erased deficits of 1-0 and 2-1 before scoring four unanswered goals.

Hamilton was 1-1 on the power-play while the Frontenacs were 1-5.

The Bulldogs have scored 17 goals in the series, 13 have come in the 2nd period.

Hamilton swept the game’s three star selections. Forward Matt Strome was awarded the game’s 1st star, finishing with a goal and three assists. Montreal Canadiens prospect Will Bitten scored his third power-play goal of the series, earning the 2nd star. The third member of that line, Mackenzie Entwistle, scored a goal and was named 3rd star.

Game 7 goes Tuesday night at 7 pm in Kingston. The winner will play first place Peterborough in the conference semifinal.
