The Hamilton Bulldogs used Saturday’s OHL Draft to load up on offensive players they hope will one day light up the scoreboard at FirstOntario Centre.
The Bulldogs used 10 of their 15 draft picks on forwards, including their first-round selection (11th overall) on Connor McMichael, 16, from Ajax, Ontario.
The diminutive but skillful player was also one of five centres the Dogs picked up in the Priority Selection.

The 5’9″, 151 pound McMichael scored 35 goals and added 27 assists in 34 games with the Ajax-Pickering Raiders Minor Midget AAA team in 2016/17.
Jamieson Rees, 16, was picked ninth overall by the Sarnia Sting, making him the top Hamilton-born player selected in the draft.
The Barrie Colts selected Ryan Suzuki of the London Knights Minor Midget AAA club 1st overall in the OHL Draft.
