Calgary police said they have located the parents of a young girl found in the community of Varsity on Thursday morning.
The child, believed to be about two-years-old, was found in the 3500 block of Varsity Drive N.W. at about 7:30 a.m.

As of 10 a.m., police were unable to identify who the girls’ guardians were so as to reunite her with them.
Then, just before 12 p.m., police issued a news release saying the girl’s caregivers had been located.
Police said the Calgary Police Service’s Child at Risk Response Team (CARRT) is currently investigating and other partner agencies are involved.
To protect the privacy of the family, no further details will be shared by police.
