Man, 27, charged for allegedly threatening, assaulting Toronto parking officer

A man is facing two charges for allegedly threatening and assaulting a parking officer in North York late last week.

Toronto police said the incident happened around 7 p.m. Thursday near Sentinel and Cook roads, in the area of Keele Street and Finch Avenue.

A parking enforcement officer had placed a ticket on a vehicle illegally parked in a laneway, when a man allegedly became very verbally and physically aggressive with the officer.

The man surrendered to police at 31 Division on Friday, police said.

Jeffrey Osarhiemen, 27, has been charged with assaulting a peace officer and threatening to cause bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on October 3.
