A 36-year-old Scarborough man is dead after his dirt bike collided with a tree in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township Sunday afternoon.
Peterborough County OPP said a group of off-road riders were traveling on Devils 4 Mile Road around 2 p.m. when one rider became separated from the group.
Two riders retraced their steps and found their friend on the side of a gravel road, police said.

David Speicher of Scarborough was pronounced dead upon arrival at Campbellford Hospital. A post-mortem has yet to be scheduled. Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
