Traffic tied up at South Edmonton Common after crossing arms go down for over an hour

One witness told Global News cars were stuck and some people were so frustrated, they began holding up the crossing arms to get through.

Shortly before 4 p.m., engineers with CP Rail were able to fix the problem, according to a Global News photographer at the scene.

It is not clear when or if a train went past the crossing on Sunday afternoon.
