The hot weather will continue Monday in Metro Vancouver but Global News meteorologist Mark Madryga says a change is on the way.

“Well finally we’re going to get cooler weather, a little bit cooler Thursday. In fact into the low 20’s rather than the mid-to-upper 20’s to low 30’s today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. So cooler Thursday, and the charts are showing some rain into the Lower Mainland late Thursday, Thursday night, and some showers and cooler Friday too.”

But there will be something added to the sunshine today and tomorrow.
“There is likely going to be additional smoke start to move in today through tomorrow, coming in both from the B.C. interior and from Washington State.”
High-temperature records were broken Sunday in Cranbrook, Nelson, Victoria, Comox, and Tofino.
