Wednesday is going to be another hot, smoky day in Metro Vancouver.
However, Global News meteorologist Mark Madryga says that should turn around within the next few days.
“It looks like the smoke is going to stick around through the day today, meaning pretty gray skies, maybe some thinning later on in the day. Tomorrow a bit thinner, but still patchy smoke. And then we get ready for the big changes later Thursday night, Friday, and into Saturday. Several showers will cross the area and it will be cooler, with Saturday’s high just 19 [degrees]. But we will rebound, it looks like, later Sunday, Monday and Tuesday into next week, with more sun coming back.”

An air quality advisory continues for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley because of lingering smoke from wildfires both in the B.C. interior, as well as from Washington State.
