Greyhound has announced it will make substantial cuts to its service starting in the new year.
The transportation company has outlined a number of changes, including cancelling stopovers in Vernon between Kamloops and Kelowna.

It’s also asking the Passenger Transportation Board to agree to twice weekly trips between Kamloops and Kelowna, instead of the twice daily service being provided now.
Bus routes from Vancouver, Kamloops and Kelowna to other interior communities would either be eliminated or minimized to twice weekly trips.

Greyhound cites financial losses in B.C. for the cuts.
The company says ridership is down in many rural communities.
