Drug bust in Winnipeg results in seizure of $5,000 in cocaine and marijuana

Three people have been arrested and charged with drug-related offences in Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Police Service said on Friday afternoon, Street Crime Unit members followed through with a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Leahcrest Crescent.

Officers said this all started with an investigation of various homes in the west end area that were used to distribute drugs.

The search warrant resulted in three people being arrested and charged and also the seizure of drugs, money and ammunition.

Investigators seized 56 grams of crack cocaine, valued at just under $4,500, 110 grams of marijuana which was valued at $1,100, a large amount of money, and an assortment of ammunition.

Two males remain in custody and one female has been released on an appearance notice.
