A Calgary woman who works seven days a week says she’s happy for the sense of financial security winning the Sept. 30 Western 649 draw will give her.
Geeta Alizada won the $2-million jackpot on a $3 ticket she purchased at a 7-Eleven in the 4000 block of Macleod Trail S.E.
“Like most Canadians, we’re struggling with bills, so this is a real relief,” she said in a news release.
Alizada works two different jobs but said she’s going to quit the one she works on weekends.

“In the future, we’d like to move into a bigger house, and I’ll hopefully be able to start a small business.”
Alizada said she realized she was a winner the morning after the draw.

“I sat at the kitchen table and checked the numbers on the WCLC website while my husband listened to the news.”
