A total of seven hockey players from the Atlantic provinces have made the Team Canada roster for this year’s World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
Major Junior Hockey league players from Nova Scotia include Justin Barron, Noah Laaouan and Bailey Peach, while New Brunswicker Jaxon Bellamy is also on the squad.
Newfoundland and Labrador players include forwards Brett Budgell, Dawson Mercer and Alex Newhook.

The tournament runs from Nov. 5 until 11 in British Columbia, with the players divided into three squads that play against Russia, Finland, the Czech Republic, the United States and Sweden.
