A Toronto man is facing human trafficking charges involving a Peterborough teen.
In late August, Peterborough Police Service launched a human trafficking investigation in which an 18-year-old male allegedly created online ads for sex featuring a Peterborough female who was 18 at the time.
“(He) forced the victim to have unwanted sexual relations with other individuals for money, which was handed over to the accused,” police stated.
On Sept. 20 a warrant was issued for his arrest. Exactly a month later, the accused was located at a Toronto courthouse where he was appearing on other matters and was arrested on the warrant, police said.
