Riversdale landmark sale thrills business district

SASKATOON – The city of Saskatoon has finally sold Parcel A at River Landing.

B.C.-based property developer, Chris Le Fevre of Le Fevre and Company has bought the portion of land, west of the Saskatoon Farmer’s Market, for around $4.1 million.

“I felt the winds of change within the area and the potential for a whole new opportunity of urban living. I am getting to work on plans as we speak; I’m not here to sit around. I intend to make a difference and soon,” said buyer Chris Le Fevre.

Exact plans for the property are still in the works, but the group is known by their motto ‘preserving the past’ while at the same time ‘building the future.’

According to Le Fevre & Company’s website, ‘Riversdale Mews’ is an upcoming Saskatoon development.

After working diligently for the last number of years to attract a developer to the land, the Riversdale Business Improvement District is thrilled with the purchase.

“Now that this is going ahead the visioning will take place in the next year they’ll be a lot more posturing and it won’t be as much planning as there is building so it’s very exciting,” said Randy Pshebylo, Riversdale Business Improvements Executive Director.
