Police have identified a Calgary murder victim found in a northeast home Friday.
Randeep Singh Dhaliwal, 39, died as the result of an assault, investigators said Wednesday.
In a release Monday afternoon, police said they were called to a home in Pineridge Friday afternoon after a body was discovered inside.
The man was found dead in the home in the 100 block of Pineside Place N.E.
Police said detectives were given information that led them to a suspect in the case. They believe the victim and the accused, who knew each other through mutual acquaintances, got into a verbal altercation which led to the fatal assault.
