A high risk sex offender who was at large earlier this week has been located and arrested.
Police asked for the public’s help finding Quentin Sumner on Tuesday after he didn’t return home to his approved residence. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrested as a result of the breach of probation.

Sumner, 40, was declared a long-term offender in 2005 after having been convicted of sexual assault and given a five-year supervision order. After being charged with several offences again in 2007, including sexual assault and forcible confinement, a judge extended the supervision order to 10 years.
Winnipeg police said he was arrested in a news release Thursday afternoon.
