Snowmobiler dies in crash north of Tweed

A man is dead following a snowmobile crash north of Tweed, Ont. early Saturday morning.

Central Hastings OPP responded around 12:10 a.m. to a crash on Elzevir Road, about 20 kilometres north of Tweed. It’s believed the eastbound snowmobile left the road and struck a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

He has been identified as Adam Connolly, 34, of Addington Highlands Township.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) was called to the scene and the investigation is continuing.
