Edmonton Oilers place Oscar Klefbom on injured reserve

The Edmonton Oilers held an off-ice workout Tuesday morning at Rogers Place after Monday night’s 5-3 win over the San Jose Sharks.

The team has made some roster moves, first placing defenseman Oscar Klefbom on NHL injured reserve.

Klefbom has three goals and six assists for nine points in 33 games this season.

The Oilers have recalled Anton Slepyshev from the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League. Slepyshev was sent down Monday to make room for defenseman Adam Larsson who was activated from the injured reserve list before Monday night’s game.

Forward Nathan Walker has been placed on waivers, he played two games for the Oilers after being picked up on waivers last month from the Washington Capitals.

The Oilers will host the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night.
