A serious two-vehicle crash west of Cochrane closed Highway 1A at Grand Valley Road late Monday morning.
Cochrane RCMP were called to the crash at around 11:15 a.m. Police said it involved a pickup truck and a minivan.

Calgary EMS said a total of five people were taken to the hospital, with one person suffering serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Cochrane RCMP are still investigating, but police said icy roads and reduced visibility due to blowing snow were factors in the crash.
The highway was reopened Monday afternoon.
