Disobeying the rules of the road has landed a Hamilton man in trouble with the law.
Police spotted a cyclist riding on the sidewalk on Monday afternoon as he went through a red traffic light at Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North.

Police say the cyclist was smoking a marijuana cigarette when he was arrested.
Officers seized 16.5 grams of crack cocaine along with an undisclosed amount of Canadian money.

Jeffery McDermott, 46, has been charged with drug possession and trafficking offences.
