A Kitchener man, 45, is facing a charge of careless driving after a rollover on Highway 401 westbound near Iona Road resulted in a roughly five hour closure.
According to Elgin OPP, a westbound commercial motor vehicle lost control at around 5:45 Thursday morning and entered the centre median.
The driver counter-steered, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side, spilling its load of metal manufacturing excess and leading to a lengthy closure for clean-up.
The vehicle came to rest in the north ditch and no injuries were reported.
