Winnipeg man charged with drug trafficking in Ontario

An investigation into drug and firearm-related offences by the Ontario Provincial Police has landed a Winnipeg man in jail, along with a man and woman from Ontario.

The three were in a vehicle stopped by police officers in the 200 block of Scott Street in Fort Frances, Ont. early Thursday.

The following three people were arrested and taken into custody:

  •  Garrett Asham, 19, from Winnipeg
  • Travis Moen, 35, from Morson, Ontario
  • Nicole Handorgan, 29, from Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing First Nation Territory

All have been charged with multiple offences including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose x3, and possession of Hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking.

The trio were scheduled to appear in Ontario court Friday.
