A local film studio is claiming the industry’s spending numbers are being skewed.
According to the province’s film commission, spending was up by 27 million dollars last year and there were almost a dozen more projects booked over 2011.

But North Shore Studios is saying the figures are being altered by the Liberal government.
They say their studio has been struggling for the past year due to talent migrating out of the province.
They say tax breaks should be seen as the key to help the high unemployment rate within the local industry. B.C. is set to provide around 330 million dollars in tax credits this year.
