Saskatoon police charge 2 after drug bust

Two people arrested on the long weekend by Saskatoon police are facing drug trafficking charges.

Officers performed a traffic stop in the 600-block of Gray Avenue at roughly 9:15 a.m. CT on April 1.

Police said they discovered the owner of a red Acura Integra had outstanding warrants. They found the passenger to also have outstanding warrants.

During the traffic stop, officers seized cocaine, meth, $2,000 cash, and a scale.

The 27-year-old Regina man and 30-year-old Saskatoon woman are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking meth.
